Tâmega hydroelectric complex is a system composed by three dams and three hydroelectric power plants. Two of them are placed onth Tamega river (Daivões y Alto Tâmega)and the third one on the Torno river (Gouvães). (Portugal)

Gouvães: Typology: Gravity dam. Height: 30 m, Power installed: 880 MW, Galleries and return tunnel: 4 units x Ø3,8m + 1 unit x Ø7,3m - Length: 813 m, penstocks: 1 unit x Ø6m + 1 unit x Ø5,4m + 2 units x Ø3,8m + 4 units x Ø2,8m - Length: 2.154 m, Concrete volume: 40.000 m3. River bypass tunnel: 260 m
Alto Tâmega: Typology: Arch dam. Height: 107 m, Power installed: 160 MW, Penstocks: 2 units x Ø4,6m -Length: 50/50m, Concrete volume: 220.000 m3, crest length: 335 m. River bypass tunnel: 260 m.
